LOS ANGELES (Reuters) – Disney Channel teen star Demi Lovato has finished a stay of three months of rehabilitation, but has not yet decided when or whether to return the work on his "Sonny with a Chance" TV show.
A source close to Lovato, 18, said the singer and actress returned to Los Angeles earlier this week.
Back in November, he pulled out a concert tour and entered a rehabilitation facility for obtaining the treatment for what were described as "emotional and physical problems.
Lovato had battled an eating disorder, was bullied at school and had struggled with in the past, his spokesman said at the time.
The future of his TV show "Sonny with a Chance," which plays an actress of Lovato's comedy, it was clear on Friday.
For now he "will continue to focus first, no welfare," said the source.
A spokesperson for Disney Channel, said that "management of Demi inform us when you can get back to work."
In the absence of Lovato, writers on "Sonny with a chance" worked "So random sketches for"--a show within a show "Sonny". Disney Channel, said that "randomly" was developed as a full production and series started earlier this week.
Lovato got her break as the star of the 2008 Disney Channel movie "Camp Rock" and since then has published two hit albums. She dated teen heart-throb Joe Jonas in 2010 and was a tour of Latin America with the Jonas Brothers before abruptly pulling out in November 2010.
