TV and movie swag auction to benefit the SAG Foundation (AP)

LOS ANGELES – In a world of award-show of swag bags and gift suite for the already-gifted, enter something a little different — an auction for the less fortunate.

Elements from some of the most celebrated productions of the season, including a pair of boxing gloves autographed by Mark Wahlberg and Christian Bale in "The Fighter," can be yours for a donation to the foundation of Screen Actors Guild, hosting an auction to raise funds for its various assistance programmes.

Also available: a box of jewels "Black Swan" signed by Natalie Portman, wedding rings from "The Kids are all right." A photo and signed scripts from "Joy".

"We are fortunate to be in a business where some of us work, but 99% of us don't make enough to afford health benefits," says the actor Jack McGee, who is nominated for a Screen Actors Guild Awards on Sunday as part of "The Fighter" acting ensemble. "This auction features memorabilia productions to be honored and other items not normally have access to."

Signature of McGee adorns a poster from "The Fighter" signed by the cast, which is also up for auction.

Other items available include visits with E! News, "Entertainment Tonight" and "Extras", a comic book "Rabbit Hole" signed by Nicole Kidman, gift bags from HBO, "modern family", "30 Rock" and "Dexter," a handbag Fendi buttery and glasses.

The SAG Foundation is a nonprofit organization that provides financial assistance and emergency health care for needy SAG members, as well as educational services for the public, including literacy outreach programs for children.

The auction is open to the public on Thursday and is set to close Monday. The 17th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards will be presented Sunday at the shrine Exhibition Center and broadcast live on TNT and TBS.
