NEW ORLEANS – actor Andy Garcia will reign as Bacchus on Sunday before Mardi Gras in New Orleans.
The Committee of Bacchus made the announcement on Tuesday at the National Museum of the II World War. Her fashion show 6 March will have a theme of the second world war this year. Mardi Gras is March 8.
The Committee, formed in the 1960s and generally characterized by massive floating, has a great celebrities as its King. Takes for the Roman god of wine.
Saints quarterback Drew Brees was Bacchus in 2010. Others in the past include Bob Hope, William Shatner, Val Kilmer, Michael Keaton, Kirk Douglas, Jackie Gleason and Hulk Hogan.
Garcia is best known for her roles as a mafia boss in "the Godfather Part III" and a PIN of casinos in franchising "Ocean's eleven".
