Michelle Pfeiffer to reteam with Tim Burton (Reuters)

LOS ANGELES (Hollywood Reporter) – Michelle Pfeiffer is in talks to Tim Burton to reteam with "Dark Shadows", "big screen hire of Warner Bros 1960s Gothic vampire TV soap opera starring Johnny Depp.

The film has an early April and was casting up, with Jackie Earle Haley, Eva Green and Beautiful Heatcote already on board.

Depp will portray a vampire Barnabas Collins, self-loathing Maine living in a Manor that is looking for his lost love.

Elizabeth Collins Stoddard Pfeiffer plays, the matriarch of the family which runs the city Collins of Maine reclusive. The character has not left the Palace after the death of her husband a decade earlier.

Pfeiffer is being very much in demand in this new year. The actress is juggling a role in all-star "new year of new line" and is running "Welcome to People," the directorial debut of scribe Alex Kurtzman.

The last time that worked with Burton was in 1992 "Batman Returns" where she played memorable Catwoman.
