Source: Sheen 911 caller said actor ' intoxicated ' (AP)

LOS ANGELES – Charlie Sheen was back in rehab Friday and production of its hit CBS sitcom "Two and a half men" was the keep, a day after a 911 caller said the actor was intoxicated and in pain.

According to a person familiar with the emergency call submitted Thursday, one of the neighbors of Sheen told a 911 operator that the claimant was "intoxicated" and complaining of abdominal and chest pains.

Familiarity with the call, the person who was not authorized to publicly discuss the details, spoke Friday on condition of anonymity. Copies of the call will probably not be ready for release by firefighters, the Los Angeles until Monday, said a spokesman for the Department.

Sheen, 45, was taken to a hospital in the Los Angeles area and was there until about midnight Thursday, said his publicist, Stan Rosenfield, who mentioned the story of actor of hernia problems.

Rosenfield Friday said it was Sheen in rehab, but why not said.

"The Charlie Sheen voluntarily entered into a confidential Rehabilitation Center today," said the spokesperson. "He is very grateful to all those who have expressed their concern."

The terse press release noted that no additional information will be provided and asked that they respected the privacy of Sheen.

CBS, Warner Bros. television production company and executive producer Chuck Lorre said in a joint declaration that rehabilitation of Sheen has induced a setback on the production of "Men of two and a half years."

"We are deeply concerned for his health and well-being and support his decision," said the company and Lorre.

Sixteen of order 24-episode of the show have been posted, with 14 aired so far.

The latest fallout from the chaotic life of lustre came two weeks after CBS ' entertainment top executive said that out of the camera actions of the plaintiff does not have influenced her work as the star of TV's most popular comedy, the focal point of CBS ' Monday comedy lineup.

Headline-making behavior of Sheen has included a wild night that left a hotel room in New York in confusion and sent him to a hospital and a guilty last summer for assaulting his wife in Aspen, Colo. Sheen filled pages of gossip again this month to spend a weekend of partying in Las Vegas.

His most recent hospitalization was his third in as many months. It came after a 911 call made on behalf of Sheen from the next Dr. Paul Nassif. The plastic surgeon and Reconstructive tattooing, along with his wife, Adrienne Maloof-Nassif, are in reality show "The real housewives of Beverly Hills".

"We are so excited that Charlie took the decision to seek the assistance of a rehabilitation center today," Nassif and his wife said in a statement. "This is something that his friends and family have pushed for, and we wish him all the love and support that he will need in the coming days."

Last February, Sheen enters rehab for an unspecified problem, forcing his sitcom temporarily suspend production.

Earlier this month, CBS Entertainment President Nina Tassler was asked about Sheen in a press conference with reporters of TV.

"We have a high level of concern. How can we not? "he said, adding that the situation can not be displayed so simplistic. The actor makes his work on "two and half men and" reliably good, he said.

When a visitor has suggested a person in a different line of work would be fired for involvement in similar incidents, Tassler said, "what would get fired for? Go to work and do your job? "

Monday evening programme of Sheen grew its audience of 2 percent over last season, said Nielsen co. Signed a new two-year contract at the end of last season, making it one of the highest paid actors on television in prime time.
