NEW YORK (AFP) – Wildman actor Charlie Sheen, just outside the hospital from his most recent reported drug-and-booze meltdown, said Tuesday that he has no intention to mend his ways.
"I've been sober for five years a long time ago and was just bored out of my tree," said in a phone call to host DirecTV/Fox Sports Radio Dan Patrick.
"Is inauthentic--not that I am. Do not drink for 12 years and, man, that first one, Dan. Wow. "
Sheen, star of TV series "Two and a half men" and the son of actor Martin Sheen, became tabloid fodder nonstop with escapades presumably involving drugs, hard drink, prostitutes and porn actresses.
Two weeks ago he checked into rehab after being rushed to hospital with severe abdominal pain "by a bender reported drug and alcohol-fueled.
Emergency request of suspension of production on "Two and a half men," in which Sheen, 45, hedonistic plays a bachelor.
In his rambling radio interview, Sheen suggested that he should return to work while he was still.
"Check it. It's like, really quickly heal. But I unravel pretty quickly. So get me now, guys, "he said, addressing the producers of the show.
TMZ, a celebrity news site, reported that Sheen was feast with five men, including a porn star and a Briefcase full of cocaine at the time of his/her last meltdown.
The star of divorce from his wife of two years in November, days after being hospitalized after a drunken incident reported in a luxury hotel in New York involving another porn star.
In addition to his substance abuse reported, Sheen had several clashes with the law in the 1990s in drug-related cases, domestic violence and prostitution.
Sheen laughed off his problems on Tuesday, saying that good behaviour clause in his contract TV was irrelevant.
"Yeah, blah, blah, nitpick, nitpick," he said. "I didn't I read it, but I don't think it covers ' let us totally dominate and interfere with your personal life."
Said of crack cocaine was bad, but not for everyone.
"I said, stay off the crack, and I still think that's pretty good advice, unless you can manage it socially. If you can manage it socially, then go for it, but not a lot of people can, you know? "
