London-a revealing dress worn by Kate Middleton at a charity event 2002 participated by Prince William, when they were students sold for 65,000 pounds ($ 104,860) at auction.
The transparent black dress with a blue trim was purchased by a purchaser not identified Thursday in London. The auction price, which excludes the award a 20 per cent of buyers, was originally expected to reach 8,000 pounds.
Some commentators argue that the outfit played a role in sparking the Royal romance that began shortly after the event.
Initially it was intended to be worn as a skirt, but Middleton was like a short black dress with lingerie underneath.
