London (Reuters) – Charles Spencer, the brother of the late Princess Diana, who gave an impassioned speech at his funeral, he announced his engagement with a Canadian charity worker.
Charles, 46, ninth Earl of Spencer, will marry Karen Gordon, founder and CEO of the whole child International, the ancestral home where he is buried Diana, 18 June this year.
The marriage, the third marriage to Spencer, will take place a few weeks after his nephew William weds girlfriend Kate Middleton in Westminster Abbey on 29 April.
Spencer delivered an oration emotional at the funeral of Diana in 1997 berating Royal family both in Britain and the press.
He accused the media of Hunt Diana, sneering at her good works and to be "at the opposite end of the spectrum morality" in a tribute that caused huge applause from both inside and outside of Westminster Abbey.
Spencer has four children from his first marriage to ex-model Victoria Lockwood and other two children by his second marriage to Caroline Hutton.
